Department of History organized a documentary screening on ‘Haryana Region and the Revolt of 1857′ to commemorate Haryana War Heroes’ Martyrdom Day (Veer Shaheedi Diwas).

Around 120 students were present on the occasion. Dr. Renu Baliyan, Associate Professor in History, highlighted the glorious role of Haryana in the First War of Independence, with special reference to the supreme sacrifice of Veer Rao Tula Ram, who was a prominent leader of the 1857 revolt in Haryana and led the fight against the British in Rewari and surrounding regions.
